Hi all and Happy 2008 (and landings)

this is my first time to join a forum so please bare with me if I am writing anything incorrect or about something that has been revisited in the past. I currently fly on FS9 with a variety of addon sceneries, aircrafts etc and Project AI's traffic installed.

I have purchased Flighsoft's Hong Kong 2004 and I must admit the depiction of the old Kaitak airport is indeed as close as it gets. Regrettably the scenery comes without traffic, which would have dramaticaly added to the taste, especially when negotiating that infamous IGS13 approach and turn. The closest I got in adding traffic to Flightsoft's Kaitak was by using a program called "Curved Approaches Vol. 1" which did add traffic to the scenery, however it only worked with the default aircrafts. Although the program let you choose between three different traffic options (default-personal-Ultimate Traffic) it appears to work only for the default traffic which, by the way, I no longer use!

I would greatly appreciate if anybody can help or could suggest anything else regarding adding traffic to this scenery

Thank you

You have to go into Traffic Tools and ADD Kai Tak airport in the airports list then you have to go into each flight plan and change VHHH (new HKG Airport) to VHHX.

It seems like a very tall task but is pretty easy.

Should have saved your money and downloaded the 9Dragons rendition of Kai Tak. All my AI (project AI and World-of-AI) planes make the curved approach.

In the 9Dragons set up/directions, it tells you how to add the AI Traffic. That was my first attempt at it and it works flawless. Just take your time and RTFM.

I just downloaded Kaitak scenery by 9Dragons.I'm looking for a Kaitak AI package to have real traffic for this wonderful airport.
Any idea?

World-of-AI has most of the major Asian Carriers. Not sure if Project AI is still around and able to be downloaded (i think it is). Do a google search and they have their own website.

Read my post above. you have to add Kai Tak to airports and the add the ICAO code to the flight plans in order for it to show up.

The pilots handbook from zip file one gives a good description of making the regular AI from the new Hong Kong airport (VHHH) move to VHHX. It does and is very nice to watch the AI flyboys make their turn.

I believe the instructions for converting Traffic for use at VHHX starts on page 36 of the manual.

While the instructions are for the default FS2004 traffic file, the procedure can be applied to any Traffic file.

Seeing Kai Tak with traffic makes all the difference in the world.

Thank you very much,

I will try in the first opportunity! You are right, I was browsing the 9 Dragons video just yesterday; what else can I say, a hair raising experience! These guys got it right, all the way!
