Was just wondering if anyone can shed some insight into my problem:
In FS2002, ANY aircraft the I use, whether it being standard or imported, I can not get any ILS at any airport to work, except for KATL. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, and was wondering if there is a remedy for this situation. So any help from anybody is greaty appreciated.
Thanx

LAST EDITED ON Mar-18-02 AT 01:36AM (EDT)[p]Are you using the right approach charts and setting up your nav radios correctly?
Get all US approach charts online free here
http://edj.net/cgi-bin/echoplate.pl
this site doesn't seem to be up right now, but u can get the charts there when it comes back up.
And you should be setting up for your approach something like this http://www.smartcockpit.com/b767/Approach%20brief.PDF
here is a link to the FAA Instrument Flying Handbook, http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgAdvisoryCircular.nsf/ACNumber/F98ED9B5360ECCDD862569DC00720C3F?OpenDocument
maybe you can figure out what you're doing wrong

It seems like almost everyone who is having problems with the ILS is just not intercepting the glideslope from below as it is supposed to be. The only way to intercept the CORRECT glidepath is to get it from below, and when on the FAF (ie. NDB or inner marker) verify the glidepath height. I have heard stories of ghost glidepaths of 6 deg. or more, so the check height is very useful. But for the most part I think your problem is more than likely that you need to intercept from below. If not, then let me know and I will try to help you from there.

Steve... when you say that, do you mean you set the NAV 1 radio to the proper ILS frequency, but the ILS needles never move?
Or are you talking about trying to get the auto-pilot to follow the ILS?

People thanx for the tips. Don, basically what I'm doing is letting the plane land itslef. I just get all the info from the ATC and let the rest happen. But again, thanx a lot, I will check into it.
