Hi

Have a wee problem.

I have designed several custom shaped buildings pertinent to Sumburgh airport and decided to use digi picutures I have of them for textures to walls etc. I resized the pics in paintshoppro to 512x512 and saved them as a bitmap .bmp file 24 bit. Tried that on the walls and it was ok in EOD so transeferred the .bmp files to my main flightsim directory. Using scenegenx I placed my api where I wanted it, saved it and compiled it. The building shows up but just with white walls - the texture is missing. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong Pleeease? I am pulling my hair out here!

look forward to being educated

A couple of thoughtsif you haven't done so already...

1. Make sure your texture file is stored in one of your FS texture directories. Try FS9>Addon Scenery>Textures first.

2. Try using DxtBMP to save the texture image in dxt format.

Cheers,
Mike

That's right, 24-bit bitmaps don't work.

Used DxtBMP as you suggested and it worked a treat. Thank you very much. I am now a wee bit further forward in my Sumburgh design.

All I need to do now is retake some of my photo's as they do look a bit squiff to say the least now they are on the buildings.

Might want to mip map (create mip maps) as well as dxt1. addon scenery\texture is good. If doesn't work move the texture files over to FS9\texture (main folder).
