View Full Version : SDK path to FSX

Have Loaded new SDK which shows in folder as ProgrammeFiles/MicrosoftGames/MicrosoftFlightSimulatorXSDK/SDK
situated below FSX folder.
Have run ConfigSDK, which runs OK.
My understanding is then that in FSX menu, Tools should appear, but has not.
I Have loaded FSX SP1, Accelerator. Do have latest FSUIPC loaded.
What is the correct path to connect?
Over 72, should know better

I think you have to go into your %appdata% (where fsx.cfg is) and look for the file dll.xml. You have to change the "Disabled" element from True to False for any tools you want to show up in the menu. See "Setup" section of the Traffic Toolbox sdk documentation for details.

Thanks Scott. Tried that, dug deep, but still has not lined up. More research, thought I had cracked it. Thanks Mike

Just to clarify you did install the SDK from the acceleration disk?
If not go to the SDK folder on the disk and right click on the SDK.msi file and choose install.

Are you doing this to make your own mission? You probably know this, but have you looked at FSXMission, they have lots of info..
and two very good videos showing how from start to finish. It took me
three fustrating days just to get the Objects Tool in place, it`s all
to do with getting the edited XML to the Data/Application/file.
I wish you luck, you need lots of patience.

Thanks all for your help. Success.
It would help if MS when they put out upgrades make it clear what is on the disc.
From Accelerator disc, put into repair mode, seemed to check everything than loaded SDK from disc and hey presto, now I canget on with flying. Thanks again

I don't have Accel, but the same thing happened when sp1 came out. sdk stuff stopped working until sdk sp1a was installed.
