Engine heat shimmer effect

Is there a download for Engine heat shimmer effect for the FSX 747-400? I'v seen one for FS9,will this work in FSX? I saw a video somewhere,it looked realy effective.

Sorry to tell you this but there is not... The only way to can achieve this is not while playing, but video editing does it all. X-Plane has this advantage :). I play FSX, so I am in the same place you are.
