aircraft downloads/freeware from flightsim.com

I downloaded the an ATR from a fs2004 file in the library.Being relatively new to simming;this is my first download.The plane does'nt have a panel in the VC mode and the detail is not that great.I was wondering if there is a better download(freeware);until I decide if I want to buy one;anyways.? Would FSX have better platform for the install than the fs2004.Our airport is small;however ATR's are starting to frequent it and I love this plane. I'm sure the plane's that land here are 40-50 passenger;as the runway is not that big.Any info appreciated;thanks.I downloaded the file to my fs2004 files. jerry

When downloading aircraft from the library it's a hit and miss shot. Sometimes you get an great aircraft and sometimes... not so great (my hats off to all those designers out there doing something I can't do. Keep it up, I'll take the great and ..not so great LOL).
Have you looked in the Pilot store on flightsim.com?
There are a couple of packages with the ATR.
