Downloading it now,, you must be a aopa member( its worth it for these planes and the magazine)

virtual cockpit will be added when the

from the website
"Flight1 Software developed this software add-on to Microsoft Flight Simulator X in partnership with AOPA. It allows any member to "fly" the refurbished 1977 Cessna 177B Cardinal — AOPA's Catch-A-Cardinal Sweepstakes prize — on your personal computer, in your existing copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator X. It is not compatible with earlier versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Please note that this version of the AOPA 177 Cardinal does not contain a Virtual Cockpit. Once AOPA's real sweepstakes Cardinal interior is complete, Flight1 will use photos of it to create the virtual cockpit, and it will be released in a subsequent version of the software. You'll have the opportunity to follow along as Flight1 finishes building your "virtual" Cardinal.

To operate this software you must have:

• A Windows-based personal computer running Microsoft Flight Simulator X and either Microsoft Windows XP, Service Pack 2, or Microsoft Vista. THIS SOFTWARE WILL NOT OPERATE WITHOUT MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X INSTALLED.
• A control yoke or joystick (rudder pedals are optional)."

Short review. Nice package. No problems with installation. Great exterior and paint. Flies just fine. Lots of other things I haven't looked at yet. If you have a membership go for it. If you aren't yet a member of AOPA, now's a good time to sign-up.

Just flew pierce county 1S0 (now kplu) to sequim valley, washington state. ( a real life flight i make monthy in my superhawk to see family)

the Cardinal performed very well,, they did a great job on the air file, and the gps stuff was spot on.

cant wait till the virtual cockpit is done! like the commander (which i wish was upgraded for fsx) and the cherokee 6 which works in fsx,, this is a true keeper!
