While in Free Flight 737 I am having trouble keeping the 2D Instrument Panel View captured. I can bring it up using View,Inst Panel,Main. However as soon as I leave the cockpit to do something else and come back the 2D panel is gone, replaced with the 3D. Is there a way of keeping the 2D without going thru the above steps all the time.

In FSX, F9 is 3D panel, F10 is 2D panel, F11 is Locked Spot, and F12 is (supposedly) Top Down view.

If you're putting 2D in a window (question is 'WHY?') then the 'Shft+1' command will bring that window up (simular to calling upt the GPS in a window). I think F9 thru F11 is more simple. :-)

Thanks,
F10 did the trick for me.

Hi,

It sounds like your question was answered satisfactorily but I thought you might consider this: Under Settings/Display /Customize/Aircraft you can make the 2D panel the default.

Whatever you prefer.
