Hello,
I used to be able to use my Lowrance AirMap1000 with MSFS2k4 by downloading and installing some add-on software (I forget what it was).
Can I do the same with MSFSX?
If yes, do I have to install an add-on software?
If yes, what is it and where do I find it?
Thanks,
Gabor

Hi,
You will need a registered copy of FSUIPC4:

For FS04 you used GPS Out, which is now bundled in the above software.

I've been using Gps.out ver 2.60 loaded into the Modules folder of FS9 Century of Flight in Windows XP; works OK.
I've now loaded FS9 and FSX into a new Windows 7 PC; I have used a Serial 232 to USB cable to connect the Gps to the pc that defaults to Com port 3; in Windows this is now seen as a Prolific Com port to USB; I have altered the text in Gps.out to Com port 3...FS9 still does not identify the gps.
I have searched; via Windows Explorer; all folders and files in FSX but can't see any Modules folder to load Gps.out to; where and how do you load Gps.out to FSX in Windows.
Any ideas please.

You will need a registered copy of FSUIPC4:
Can you please explain in simple English what FSUIPC4 is; what is does and how to use it.
I understand what Gps.out is for but not the rest of the package
Thankyou.

Download the manuals free with the unregistered version, then you can read up for yourself.

Hello Gabor,
Could I possibly ask you what are your exact "MENU" settings in your Lowrance 1000 gps to make it work with FSUIPC4 and FSX.
Many Thanks,

I don't think he is around seeing you posted in a thread that is 6 years old.
