Hi guys!
Is there any update available that makes FSNavigator 3.0 usable with FS2002 or I definitely need the payware versions?
Thanks.

One more thing...
I want to share with You all my joy for my brand new "Brevetto di Volo B" (Private pilot licence)I took last week after 60 hours on my Piper Warrior.
To see Italy from above is much, much better.

Hi
FSNavigator 3.0 is usable for flight planning/following in FS2002. After F9 you need to start it in 'windowed' mode by pressing CTRL+F9.
Congratulations on your Brevetto di volo. Mi congratulo con lei! (That's almost all the Italian I know ;-)). Happy Landings.

Thanks Daniel!
What do I have to do exactly (sorry but I'm brand new user of FlightSimulator...)?
1. Install the program
2. Press F9 and then(?) Ctrl+F9...is that right?

It's a while back since I installed it. But as far as I remember, installation was about the same as in FS2000 (read the instructions). After having the appropriate database set up, you can start it within FS2002. To do this hit F9 once. Now you might experience some weird flicker. To change it to run in a stable separate window (which you can move and size with your mouse) simply press again CTRL+F9 (hold CTRL and hit F9 again).
PS: I think you might also want to add a line in your FS2002.cfg dealing with {old modules}
{OLDMODULES} replace the brackets with the correct ones
FSNav.dll=1
to get rid of an error-message when FS starts.

FSNav3 is working for me just as you describe.
Can you remember if it is possible to freeze the settings so they are remembered next time? I like to show all navaids, but it defaults to showing flightplan points only. I have looked for an ini file, but no luck.

If you purchased FSNav 3.x, I believe you can upgrade to 4.51 for free. It's guaranteed to work with FS2002 if you are having problems with 3.0

The difference between FSNavigator 3.0 and 4.51 can be likened to that between FS98 and FS2002.
I cannot be without the additional features that 4.51 brings to the party, not the least of which is the rebuildable database which detects new scenery and navaids and incorporates them.
Assuming that FSNavigator 3.0 when used in FS2002 relies on the same fs2kdt60.zip navaid file does anyone know whether the navaids are even the RIGHT ones..?

Haven't found it to be a problem yet. If a navaid doesn't work, I'll just assume it is down for virtual maintenance/ power failure - but I can't recall it happening.
