My views of FSX have changed right round!

You gotta admit its a big improvement from FS2004.

Yes, it's an improvement, but not revolutionary. In the cityscape shot, I do not like the blurring at the horizon and I also dislike the way the roads are painted. In that department, there is no improvement at all. Also, the water looks not differt when you look at it from higher altitude or distance. I do love the shot with the glider, where improvement in terrain mesh and landclass can be seen.

It's still early to judge the sim, being almost a year away from it.

I feel generally encouraged by what I see.

X-Plane's scenery is pretty poor, from what I can see. But show me some screenshots that may change my mind. :)

I believe that he was talking about this:

While it is a great improvement on the default X-Plane scenery, I think that FSX looks way better, as in having better clarity and more intelligent autogen placement.

The nice thing about Global Scenery, though, is that it covers the entire world. I believe that it ships on 7 dual-layered DVD's.

I agree. Look at this pic! The buildings look nice. But in the distance, the detail doesn't fade to give you the perspective of distance. The city looks like a jungle! Its way over done!

or this one..I don't care for the buildings somehow
