The pictures are amazing. Hmm...Windows Vista. I told everyone I know that they should not buy any of the new pc's yet because 64 bit coding, dual core and SLi was the future. Hah...some of them wish they had listened. Windows Vista looks impressive. I really like the visual style. Visuals sell me big time. I'd buy something just cause it looks artsy or futuristic. Sometimes sacrificing aesthetics over function. That might be the artist in me, who is suffocating, seeing as I'm a civil structural engineer.

Anyhoo, here's my two cents:

1. Ive said this before and will again...Seamless environment integrated visuals. Yes, FS98 was awesome and I'll tell you why...because somehow, the planes, textures, zooms, and goofy layering all matched. Have you ever seen those games where the water looks really realistic but everything else just doesn't match. FS2000 had a very painted look to it and I felt the planes looked like they belonged there. FS2002's pallet has a more crisp look to it but something was slightly arry. FS2004's cloulds and colors definitely helped tie the textures of the scenery (planes and buildings) together but something was lacking...the ground. Yes often times, as we can all see, the default ground textures are blured or totally unrealistic. In some FSX screen shots, I see some of this happening though its improved.

So all I ask for is seamless environment visuals. Make the planes, be as reflective as the water. Make the moods of dawn colors change the emotion the pilot feels before he takes off as they reflect off the beautifully rendered 3d clouds. Make the city scapes look like alot of busy work is going on down there...Make the islands look relaxing. Environment visuals doesn't necessarily mean richer graphics...its just means more "interactive and life-like persona". Birds moving, cloud shadows, rain flowing off the plane and soaked reflective tarmacs! ...GOOD JOB MS..keep on that path.

2. Okay that was a rather LARGE 2 cents. The only other thing I can ask for is Systems modeling. PLEASE PLEASE...give us complex cold cockpits for those that really want to practice flying and maybe some day be real airline pilots. Please give us Cabin Air pressurization systems, all the lights and switches. If the default aicraft come as complex and rich as the Flight 1 ATR or Aeroworx king Air 200 or PMDG 737s then Game Set MATCH!. If not then at least allow for more complex aircraft systems!

GOOD job MS...thats all i ask! Thank you.

I think I understand what you're saying, but the reflectivity of a fiber-glass surface (airplane) will never be the same as water in a lake for example. You just want the format of graphics to look similar...example, if Shader 4.0 is used on the rivets of the plane's skin, use it on buildings too, right?
