View Full Version : AI SOUND IN FSX

One major wish I have for FSX is that airport environments sound like the real thing. Major airports, such as O'Hare are almost silent in previous versions. I'd like to hear more dynamic sounds, such as planes taking off, reverse sounds, start-up sounds, etc. Also, from inside the cockpit and lined up before the runway, it would be great to hear the deep roar of the engine blast of planes taking off.

FShotseat does this in fs2004 and a lot more.

Of course many people won't want to pay $34.95 for that (not saying it's not worth it ...I don't know) . I think it would be great by default if there was more airport sounds (as well as activity on the ground too)

You can also get FSHOTSEATFX (what I have), a much cheaper version that only has the AI sounds. And it's amazing! Hearing planes touch down and then the roar of their reversors. But, I see your point, it would be very nice to have out of the box.

I agree, it would be nice to have that right out of the box, but then again, what will I do about my co-pilot? I hate flying without him/her nowadays. Unless MS could put an intelligent CP in the plane as well, and user selectable between male, female or random would be good.
