Hey gang,

I love FS2004. I have never had so much fun. I can see a mountain range or valley or airport now in a movie and almost always recognise it from Flight Simulator.

I am also hoping to one day purchase a real plane and with FS2004, at least my thirst for flying and learning all there is about it such as navigating VOR's, etc, can be done for now at home on the computer.

I am also a designer, and so being able to make some of my designs come to life in Flight Simulator has also been incredible fun and quite awakening.

Thanks guys at Microsoft and the department of Flight Simulator for an awesome simulation. Gods blessings and success.

Ok, here are a couple of idea's I would love to see in the next Flight Simulator.

Higher Altitude limitation so kids can learn to go into orbit and dock with space stations. I dont think that would be such a big problem. You guys said that we couldnt go into space (in FS) unless one of your people flew up there. Well, that was done with Rutans bird. So I ask that you please open up the barrier for orbital simulations. The kids in schools I think would really get a blast from this, learning to orbit the shuttle. I think it would open up the market 50% more for what people are looking for in a simulator.

Imagine with FS's weather ability, how awesome you could make low orbit views of earth look. (I know there is a shuttle program out there. I just like FS though and would rather use the MSFS instead to fly such missions, especially to Mars. I know the software and could make my own vehicles for such missions as well, where as the other one takes a masters degree to figure out how to do the config file on a craft. No offense. Its a brilliant package. Absolutely brilliant).

Some 'Design Generators' would be AWSOME. For instance, a special effects Generator 'window' pops up. You select the smoke color, type of effect, (sparks included) duration of effect, location axis points, etc, then select the bird its for and click 'OK' to compile.

The same with Weather. I have found that when flying a 'Active Weather' flight, I come accross a 'cell zone' of awesome realistic weather. However I have no way to 'save' that 'area' since its a 'Active Weather' flight that it is saved as. You cant trace the origins of the weather construction or layout. So you cant really re-create the weather for a 'larger' area of flight. (I tried relentlessly). (Also, a broader range of weather selections would be nice, some 'new and fresh' weather styles).

An FMC would be appropriate since that is the mainstay of professional pilots these days. Its the one major component to the cockpits of the 'heavies' that is left out in FS.

Sorry to ramble on. I could keep going, but shouldnt. I have a blast with what you have already and think its amazing that it can do 'already' what it does.

Oh, and I do like not having to have a CD in my drive. I am no thief. I just dont like my high RPM CD ROM cooking high RPM's when it shouldnt have to. I dont have a WinXP CD in there when I run Windows. ;) Not to be a smarty, just that I fly soooooooo much, I would go through quite a few CD Roms...

Lastly, keep up the brilliant work. If you ever need help, I would be glad to help out. Cheers.

PS; Ooops.... how about a Mars Simulator and an FS2016? wooo hooooooo!

One last thing, sorry.

A well done color guide to making aircraft and scenery for FS in Gmax would be awesome. Charge for it if you like. Make it full color and filled with screen shots so people can get the 'real' idea of how to make things in Gmax. Make it easy and plane out 'cool' and sell as a seperate 'manual' like how MS does with other programs.

If Autodesk is actually going to cancel Gmax, Microsoft could simply 'purchase' it. This would only bring the business that Autodesk would have recieved but no longer wants, and put it into the banks of Microsoft where it would be safe and secure. We could then continue making cool planes and scenery? (OK, I know I am stretching it a bit now. I am going. :) )

The more I think of it, with MS owning Gmax, you could start to improve it, making it a plug and play, instead of builder beginners having to seek out the various add-ons needed for it to work for FS.

Now, imagine a 'Platinum' Gmax edition that sells for $50.00 or $100.00 dollars. This would be a massive package with parts kits in it for all forms of designers games that MS produces. This package would enable a more thorough and detailed explanation of how it all works and would open the road of affordability to those kids that want so badly to do this, but with their paper routes, cant afford to cough up $3500.00 for Max.

(Remember Henry Ford. Everyone was making their cars unaffordable by the normal masses. He came out with one and now look how big he is! Profit through numbers. Affordability opens up profit margins moderately).

I still think Microsoft should do a manual for Gmax too. I say, keep the program alive. Its awesome....
