It would be handy of panning rates were adjustable either on the fly or, at the least, in a menu choice, instead of having to exit the sim and edit the fs9.cfg file, then restarting the sim.

When capturing videos, especially, pan rates are important. For example a pan rate of 150 is pretty decent within the virtual cockpit when watching a captured video, but it's a tad slow for normal flying. But even the 150 is way too fast for spot view in a captured video -- 5-15 is much better, but again is WAY too slow for normal flying. Yet I'd like to have all those rates (and more, for that matter) available during the same flight, to facilitate normal operation, cockpit capture AND spot view capture within the same flight.

Perhaps a separate pan rate for each view would be good, also, which would (to a degree) minimize the need for changes in flight (though it certainly wouldn't eliminate the need).

Even during normal flight (without video considerations), there are times I'd like to pan at different rates, and it's certainly true that spot and cockpit views need different pan rates, at least part of the time.

I think I know the answer since you sort of mentioned it, but suppose you could set the pan rate for each view in the CFG file--would that be sufficient for advanced users? Average users probably don't worry about this so much, no?

While that would be a very definite improvement, it still wouldn't give the flexibility I'd like to have, but it would be a LOT better than nothing.

Thanks,
