Does the default FS9 Garmin have a VNAV feature (same as the real unit?)

I see A:Vars available to report back data that would suggest it - but I cannot find that user feature in the default gauge. My guess is that it automatically feeds these parameters to the autopilot to fly instrument approaches (SIDs and STARs).

I wanna build a simple gauge that will calculate top of decent for any GA aircraft. It does not seem too difficult...seems like it would go like this:

user inputs: target distance to waypt, target altitude, ac rate of descent (through AP or manually entered)
Gauge outputs:TOD, or ROD based upon ground speed and distance to waypt & provides a tone or warning just prior to reaching the TOD? I was thinking of a moving line similar to glideslope/flt dir)

Anybody have a gauge that already does this?

Kevin

Vertical Navigation is not approved for Real Garmin's at this time either. Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) will become available late this year or early next year for most GPSs. It was delayed for technical reasons.
