just wanted to say thaks for the wonderfull tutorials and help on setting up to build gauge files...I used the panel SDK samples and was able to get them to compile and build fully using you little tutorails...now i'm off to try and create my own gauges and reinstall FS9 to actually test out the gauge file to make sure they work 100%

i will patiently await reading them...

Now my gauges did work fine in FS9 but i have somehow managed to get a stability issue with the simulator..I just re-did ,my whole computer and did SP2 in the process and re-installed the FS9 now, it is open for a few minutes and shuts dow..also no buttons on top of the screen are selectable..

any ideas on that???

It sounds to me as though something went horribly wrong with your "re-installation" of FS9...

For the record, I've never bothered with installing SP2 for XP, following my rule of long-standing, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" ;)

Also, did you remember to reinstall DX9.0c as well? Missing 'buttons' on the screen might indicate some DirectX issues.

second re-install of FS9 worked ..All is well again...I can even see and use my sample test gauges that i made..while following you tuorials..

Now to make some nice gauges that i have been wanting to a freeware citation X that i have been working on..
