Jack,

Unfortunately wrong forum....
Another company is developing 737 classic.
As many times the members of this forum asked Dreamfleet about 737s
didn't take any official answer.

I wonder why they announced it....:(

We're allready running 2 and a half years of existance of fs9
without a payware 737 classic....
what a pitty....

Best Regards

I realise that another company is going to release a 737-400 but I am sure they will find it difficult/impossible to imagine anything could top the DF 737 for FS2002. I probably spent around 60% of my time in that wonderful aircraft. In fact my farewell to FS2002 was the DF 737 RTW. Hello to FS2004 was the MS 737 (yeuch). Personally I would love to see a 737 from DF and would be right up the front of the queue. I don't care who else releases a 737 I am sure it will not meet the standards you have set over the tears. I could go on and on and on and on lamenting the demise of the DF 737 but I will shut ip here. Did I mention the I reinstalled FS2002 a while back just so that I could fly the DF737?

A Word To All At Dreamfleet:

Lots of simmers are probably still waiting/hoping for a 737-400 for FS2004. It WAS anounced, wasn't it? Didn't we see some previews somewhere, of the graphics for the overhead panel?
The 737-400 for FS2000/2002 was wonderful. I spent lots of time flying it. You set standards with it. For some time I too have had a parallel installation of FS2002 and FS2004 only to have the 737.
Now I know the market for FS add-ons is a small one, customers won't pay unlimited amounts for them, and dreamfleet is a company that is supposed to generate revenue. So if a new version of the 737 would be out of the question because of such economical reasons, most of us would understand. If it would be technically impossible to create a 737 that meets your standards, we would be somewhat disappointed. But most of all: we want to KNOW. If a new 737 definitely is on it's way, we will wait. If not, we may or may not consider buying another 737. But if we are kept waiting without a clue, some of us may buy another 737, others may be too frustrated, and only a few of us will buy a dreamfleet 737 should it finally come.

Could you please give us some information?

DF never announced a 737-400. They said plans were in motion for a 737-200 'original', with subsequent releases of the 3/4/500 'classic' by Flight 1 publishing.

We were also updated with the (bad) news recently, that DF were discontinuing the project, although Flight 1 intend to continue with it at some point in the future, so they did inform us. Please check out the following thread for details:

You are more likely to get answers to your questions by asking them in the 'Dreamfleet General Discussion' forum also hosted at this site. It is very active and moderated by the Dreamfleet team. This dedicated 737 forum is no longer really an active support forum, and therefore is not checked very often.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Thanks for your reply

My personal hopes fed on messages like this

It's a bit older. Meanwhile I've probably missed some announcements.
