A-36 GPS

I have recently purchased the A-36 and I am having trouble with the Direct To feature. As I am trying to tune into the airport identifier, the large knob on the right will not let me move the cursor over to the next position. I can make a "k" appear but when I try move to the next position and enter the next number/letter in the identifier, the entire field changes...Any ideas anyone??

Are you right-clicking on the right outer knob to move the cursor? The knobs on most of the RXP units accept left and right clicks which are detailed in the manual.
