One small question, would it be possible to keep only the left and right parts of the 2D panel, and replace the 2D side views, cabin views etc with the virtual cockpit versions?
There doesn't seem to be the normal DF config O matic thing.

Sorry if this has been answered :)

Hi there,

We opted for this during the development since it will give you the maximum possible performance while in the 2D panel. There is no Configuration Control option to change this.

However, during the betatest there were several people who changed the panel.cfg to do just what you want.

We *might* make this alternate pabel.cfg available as a download, and I emphasize *might* since we feel that performance suffers a bit too much if your system, and especially your videocard, is not fast enough.

Best regards, Elmar

p.s. ofcourse, if anyone who did this wants to share their panel.cfg, feel free to do so :)

Not possible without panel config modifications by the end-user. View options are either VC only or 2D panel with 2D interior views and 3D moving wing and stab parts.

Just want to *bump* this up, does anyone have a magical panel.cfg that will keep the 2D views that have a use, but replaces the 2D pictures of windows and seats etc?

I love this aircraft.

They way to do it is the following:
Make a backup of the panel.cfg in the A36 panel folder.
Then edit it with notepad and put a ; in front of those views where you would like to see the VC instead of the static bitmap

Someting like
;VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_WINDOWS=35
VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_ZOOM=.90
VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_EYE=0.000, 0.000, 0.000
VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=10.000, 0.000, 45.000
