View Full Version : Thrust reverser conversion

It states clearly in the manual that the modelled version of the Super 27 has had its #2 reverser removed. Therefore, I was surprised to find that the airplane itself has a fully operational reverser on all three engines! Why is this? Perhaps it is not possible in FS to simulate only one engine without a reverser, so you have compensated by cutting the total effectiveness of the reversers by a third or so. If this is the case, please tell me so, and I will be much relieved.

Well, yes, the model has the reverser removed, the effectiveness of the 1&3 reversers is acurate, the no.2 handles are removed. However, FS only allows identical engines and this poses a problem with the engine gauges using reverse. Obviously, in normal Pilot or FO view, you can't see the no.2 engine gauges, so this shouldn't detract from your enjoyment.

Ok, well is the TOTAL amount of reverse thrust effectiveness accurate? That's the only thing I'm concerned about.

Can you pilot a plane, instead of programming an FMC to do it for you?
