Well, my Christmas came five days late...but thanks for releasing the service pack on a three-day weekend, guys!

Unfortunately...there's a crash-to-desktop that I got with the old version that I'm still getting with the new version. It has to do with flying online using Squawkbox, and I can reproduce it every time with these steps, in both pre- and post-servicepack versions:

- Start cold and dark.
- Run Squawkbox (2.x or 3.x), connect to VATSIM.
- Turn battery master ON.
- Start APU, close both electrical switches on the APU panel.
- Hit any of the BUS TIE switches, I usually hit #3 first because it's closest to the APU popup.
- The sim immediately blackscreens and CTDs.

If I close any one of the BUS TIE switches to put power on the bus (getting the altimeter unsticker noise), and *then* start SB and connect, it works perfectly. This is the only CTD--heck, the only significant bug PERIOD--I have ever had with this product, for any reason, since I bought it. But I can cause it every time. Might this be some sort of gauge problem--maybe I should try the IVSI/TCAS swap that's posted here in the forum?

Paul, Lou, all of you at Dreamfleet, THANK YOU. One easily-worked-around CTD is not going to ruin my enjoyment of this amazing product you've created. I really don't think you've gotten your due with just how bloody good this 727 has been, and it's just gotten even better. I can't wait to see what you guys have tweaked and improved, and flog a Super 27 around a bit this weekend as well!

Update 1: Swapping the stock DF 727 VSI/TCAS for the Lee Hetherington one, as noted in the sticky post in this forum, fixes this CTD. I guess the VSI doesn't like having power applied when connected online.

Update 2: The best has just gotten better. THANK YOU DREAMFLEET!
