I have downloaded a couple of repaints (pan-am, and AA). They work fine except that when i switch from cockpit view to spot view, they take a while to display correctly (about 10 seconds).. I see the gray generic aircraft first. The liveries supplied with the DF 727 display immediately.
I had installed the new TOM, and the file updates posted by Paul before downloading the re-paints.
Anyone else have this problem.

Hello, I have seen this. Did you install as 32 bit textures or dxt? Dxt loads MUCH quicker. 32bit takes longer due to the size of the file. At a distance, you will not be able to tell the difference between the two.

i used 32 bit. I will try overwriting with the Dxt and see if that makes a difference. Thanks

Apart from some of the liveries with lots of metal showing, it's pretty hard to see the difference. The schemes included in the product had a lot of time spent on the alpha layers to make sure they appeared without distortion as dxt3.

I repainted the PanAm and AA with the Dxt texture and it is is much quicker now. Thank you both.
I had so much fun with the 737 on FS2002, but love the 727 in FS9 even more. Congratulations to you all for a fine aircraft.
