Today the version 1.3 was released. Made some modifications to the proposed INS implementation.

This is for the classic panel located at:
Flight One 727\Panel.10

Window 0
gauge49=../civa/ins!config, 0,0,1,1,df727
gauge50=../civa/ins!updateflags, 205,585,61
gauge51=../civa/ins!navmodesingle, 193,633,25

Window4
gauge02=../civa/ins!msu1, 311,143,138,42

Window13
size_mm=100,79
window_size_ratio=1.000
position=0
visible=0
ident=21
window_size= 0.220, 0.211
window_pos= 0.780, 0.790

gauge00=../civa/ins!cdu1, 0,0,100,79

My proposed flight to use the CIVA is LPPT LPMA:
Chalange visual approach and 50 nm without any VOR.

The route is:
ESP UN975 SNT, FL290, Alternate: GCLP, Spent fuel 17200 Lb, Block to block: 1h22m, Loaded Fuel: 33000 Lb

The waypoints

N3825.4/W0911.1 ESP 112.50
N3800.0/W0949.0 GANSU
N3603.3/W1233.4 NARTA
N3423.8/W1443.8 GALPA
N3415.0/W1454.9 RULET
N3305.4/W1621.0 SNT

Departure: After T/O turn direct to ESP (do not use any SID)

Arrival: (Do not use any STAR) After SNT dct to FUNOR (8/033º FUN) cross FUNOR at 3000', after FUNOR DCT to FUN, cross FUN at 1300'(continue radial 213º), at 6 nm (1000'), turn right and intercept the leading lights, follow the lights and proceed to a visual approach.

Hi Jose,

I have been trying to use the CIVA gauge the last couple of days in DF 727. I have been getting error 02-63 (failed selfcheck) on every single try but one. The one time it did work was right after I completely deleted the CIVA directory and reinstalled 1.30 from scratch (luckily takes about 10 seconds :-) ) But then on the next attempt, I once again had the same problems.

Could this be related to the DF 727 problem of the radios "freezing"? Can you tell me if you were initializing the gauges with just the APU running or with engine(s) running? Anybody else having this problem?

The CIVA forum tells me I am doing something wrong in initialization but I follow the procedure to the letter and I have used the gauge in other planes successfully.

I'm using FSUIPC magic battery so I can't answer that. Try to delete the file df727.Isd in CIVA directory maybe that could help.

Make sure your parking brake is set when you try to align or you'll see that every time.

Well, after many frustrating 02-63 errors I finally made a complete flight last night with the double INS config holding out all the way through the flight.... I am still not sure what, if anything, I was doing wrong but at least it's working.

BTW I at various points got the 04-57 (moving while aligning) error even though the parking brake was definitely set. Not sure why, I will post something on the CIVA forum.

Are you using the brake handle on the fwd panel, or the brake lever on the throttle quad? The brake handle on the upper panel (the one you twist) sets the brakes, but it does *not* set the parking brake, the lever on the throttle quad does. The CIVA unit needs to see the parking brake set in MSFS to prevent those errors.

Cheers

I am using the one on the throttle quad, and I have nr 1 engine running at idle (I start an engine early to prevent the "radios freezing" issue described elsewhere)
