EXCELLENT AIRCRAFT!! LOVE IT!!
Have a small problem though which is extremely frustrating and has got me almost ripping my hair out!! Everytime I go to start the engines I never get the "oil pressure rising" or "19 percent", although the gauges are rising and the engines do start up. I only get the "N2", "N1" and "EGT" callouts! I have read through the tutorial a million times and carefully did everything step by step with no luck. But when I press a button on my joystick programmed for 'auto start' (fsuipc), I get all the call outs.. Can somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong or what could be the cause!

I had this same problem when I first tried the tutorial. I did get the "oil pressure rising" callout, but never heard "19 percent", even though my N2 gauge was at 20 - and I waited for quite a long time.

I did notice a brief "pop" from the speaker at about the point I would have expected the "19 percent" callout.

On my next flight, I changed the first officer voice (in the configuration program) from the default Voice #3 to Voice #2. In this one, the 19 percent callout works. Haven't had a chance to go back to #3 and re-test.

Not sure if this is actually the cause of the problem, but it did work for me...

This is weird. If I start with "ctrl-e", then shut down with the fuel cut offs, then start in the normal process, all call outs work.. there must be a simple solution..

A bit strange. Needless to say it works for most so it's case of finding out what's happening that's different.

At this point I'd say that if you can go through the start process all the way to engines running, the only thing that springs to mind is whether or not you begin the start process on one engine before the previous is up and running?

I have always only started one engine at a time. I will keep fiddling with it. Usually what seems to be the hardest problem turns out to be something quite simple. I just hope it dosen't send me bald before I find the solution :-lol Meanwhile if anyone has had this problem and fixed it, please HELP!

I keep getting "number one to ground" followed immediately (no pause) by "N2"... But do a ctrl-e (autostart), then shut down with only the cut off levers, then switch the engine start switches I get the whole call outs..

Aaahhhh...

Wow, what a helpful reply.

Maybe you could keep your useless posts, as most of them are, out of the *support* forum, eh ?

Phweewww.. Thank ##### for that! Just as I thought, I knew it had to be something simple. I never did a system defrag after the installation! Everything perfect now. I love this aircraft. GREAT job guys! Well done.

Hello vando99:

It seems that you have managed to resolved your problem.

Could you explain in detail what you did??

Thx!

Roberto

Hi Roberto,

I actually did 2 things that could of fixed my problem. I am unsure which one did it, but I will tell you both anyway. The first thing I done was load up the Flight Sim with the default aircraft (Cessna 172). I then loaded the flight (at seattle), then I shut down the engine and turned of the battery but left the magnetos on 'both'. I then loaded one of the DF 727's, then I saved it as my default flight. Every other time when I shut down the cessna, I did an 'auto shutdown', which shuts down everything. I don't know whether any of that was relevant to my problem but I will tell you the second thing I done straight after that.
All I did after that was a complete hard drive defrag. This is actually stated in the 727 FAQ part of this forum under the 'installation' part, so I am more inclined in saying that maybe that was what fixed the problem.
I now get all call outs and both me and my FO are as happy as Larry and getting along just fine! :7

Best regards,
Luke.
