Anyone else working on one of these? I sat down to tinker with Eric Cantu's metal textures, and ended up with a repaint somehow. But why would the tires and other unexpected parts be so highly reflective?

I made my own alpha for the template and know I didn't add grey on any wrong parts. ???

The alpha layer is too dark where the tyres are, it should be 255,255,255 for no reflective parts.

Also, make sure you get permission to use other peoples textures please.

>make sure you get permission to use other peoples textures<

"Use these at will when repainting aircraft, give me credit if you wish, but, above all, enjoy them."

I know how the shades effect reflection. I think I may have had the "background" layer active when I thought I was saving the alpha layer. Going to redo it now.

Any real painter(s) working on an AAL 200, don't worry this is not for upload, just my own personal Frankenstien monster.

...is it "stien",or "stein"? lol

Well, not sure what I was doing wrong, the alpha for the template looked fine. Anyway, omitted the alpha, then did them individually after ToM created the aircraft. No probs doing it that way, and now I don't have an all-chrome jet, lol.

Sorry Erick I think I spelled your name wrong.

Still can't figure out where I goofed doing the template's alpha, but I'll have another go at it when I do the next one (Delta).

Finished finally:
