HI folks,

Firstly, thanks for making my fav plane. I haven't bought it yet, but am reading the manuals. I have a problem though. For the most part, the manuals make no mention of the Flap 20 position...neither for takeoff or landing data, or most other places. In fact, i only remember seeing it mentioned at one point. Is this some sort of MAJOR bug?? I know for a fact thet 727's have a flap 20 position.

any help appreciated

Could you please explain to me how you got the manuals if you have not yet payed?

Does the manual make any reference to ALL other flap settings?

Well, I do have flaps 20 here ... :-)
Sorry, but as far as I remember, I had no charts for flaps 20 takeoffs or landings ...

The manuals are available on the downloads page btw ...

Glad to see that the model actually includes the flap setting, but why were the performance numbers and limit speeds ignored altogether in the manuals?

Hm, trying to get this right ...
did you check the QRH ? There you'll find some data ...

In case you meant why the flaps 20 values are not included the answer is rather simple: I don't have a chart with flaps 20 performance data ...

Sorry ...

The information I have was one company's ops: Flaps 5 for takeoff unless absolutely necessary due to rwy length. Then flaps 25 to accomadate the short field. Nothing in beween. On landing only used flaps 30, unless the runway was really short. Then used flaps 40. Had to be careful in crosswinds though, could drag the inner flap.

I guess you could say it is the Keep It Simple Stupid rules.
