Hi all,
I am practising the tutorial flight (LHBP-EDDM).On three times out of three, I got my airspeed indicator going to zero for approximately 30 seconds. This happens always at the same point right after take-off from Budapest.
And yes, my pitot heat switch is set to ON.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for your ideas
Yves

Hi Yves,
I don't think it's you doing anything wrong as I've had exactly the same thing happen as well. For a few hours I wondered if something was wrong with Nicks gauge code and maybe the pitot wasn't actually working at all!
This was easily checked and found not to be an issue, though what happens during the Budapest departure is strange and doesn't seem recreatable in any other weather condition.
Maybe we need to ask Ingo what he did to the weather; he set that flight up for us :-)

thanks for your answer Paul. We'll let that to Ingo.Maybe he throwed a snowball right into the pitot tube for fun.

That could happen from time to time, just get that yesterday in the ATR, it happens in a lot of aircraft. In fact there is an option in FSUIPC to limit the icing condition severity and toggle option in AS2004.

Hehe, you want to know that, don't you ... :)
Well, to be honest, I don't know either. Set up some icing in the clouds I think. Nothing really special though ...
I had the same issue once and just with this departure from Budapest ...
If this causes a problem for anybody I can change it ...

Change it all you like Ingo, I won't replace the original LOL!!!
Now, what we want is to loose the ASI about 7 miles out of Innsbruck at the the end of tutorial 2, followed by low brake pressure warning and then an engine fire :-)))

I get this with all addons, sometimes the icing just hits and I lose ASI for a minute while the pitot heat catches up. I use Activesky 2004.5 and FSUIPC, but this is with all addons and not just the 727.
