One runway two take off clearances....

A calm day in Seattle...
Ground had me taxi to rwy 16L and the rest of the AI aircraft taxi to RWY 34R.... hmmm problem??

Anyone else have this? The tower then cleared me to take off on rwy 16L... and I should have know trouble was a foot... then it cleared the AI aircraft for take off on rwy 34R...

What gives??

I had the same thing happen at Salt Lake. I was cleared for t/o on 34R, and something else cleared for 16L. Kinda crazy!

It happened to me in Geneva, Switzerland..

I got permission to land from ATC (don't remember the names of the runways) but then few seconds later AI plane ask for permission to land also (AI plane was right behind me, like less that 3nm behind). Well, ATC told us to land on different runway and what was so amusing was that my Weather options were all off, so my wind was 0. I had no clue how that happen but I am assuming that was just one lucky day I got to see two planes land at the same time at the same airports.
