I just started flying the DF Archer and I have a strange problem where about every 5 to 10 minutes my panel dissapears, it's pretty easy to bring it back I go into view and check the Global Panel option. Anyone have any idea why my panel keeps dropping off?? I use the DF734 and all other aircraft with no problems. Thanks

I just began to experience the same problem. It never occurred until I had to recently reinstall my Windows 2000 Pro operating system. Now it happens during every flight. As the Archer is the only plane I fly it is quite irritating.

HELP??

No ideas here, except for the usual "try an uninstall / re-install".

Just have not had enough reports of this to know what system issues / FS2002 bugs may be affecting it.

Tailspin,

If I can hazard a guess here, you are flying during or close to dusk or dawn. Given the way the Landing view is done in order to make it "stick" on view changes, a very minor problem arises. This is the sudden disappearance of the panel window. This is due to the lighting change that is occuring when FS transitions the panel lighting because of the sunlight. If you see this occur, it is best to just fly with the normal panel for a little while until the lighting changes stop (ie FS is now in full day or night mode) and then use the Landing View. It will no longer jump away on you :-)

Thanks for the hint, Tom. I'll try and be observant and find out just when the dissapearing panel happens.

Thanks for the replies, I was flying at dusk when I had the panel split the scene so you might be dead on.
