View Full Version : Missing intersections

There are a few intersections missing in the database e.g. LUMEX in Germany. I use to insert the waypoint in the LEGS page using its coordinates but whould rather like to integrate the missing intersections directly in the FMC database.
Is there any way to do that?
Thanks for any suggestions!

I would like to get someone of the Dreamflight to answer to that question...

thanks!

Andreas,
The data for this is provided by Prabal Ghosh. Dreamfleet has no control over the content - Tom just translates it to DF734 FMC format.

Bill,

I know that but was thinking about if we can modify the converted data as well?

Hello!

No, we can not convert any data.
Data is provided by Prabal and then it is transferred to Tom. He converts it into the DF format.

If you want some specific information about those intersections I advise you to contact Prabal personaly. I don't know his e-mail or www address at the moment but some minutes of searching on the web browsers will provide the answer.

Good luck.

A few??? The German/European database lacks of alot intersections/fixes. This has nothing to do with the accuracy of Prabal's database but the compilation of the DF737 own format. The funny thing is that the ND-database which is responsible for showing up the symbols does have many waypoints you cannot enter on the legs page as they are stored in different files. Thomas Main told me that he could not check every waypoint. That it true, but he can compile them all into the FMC's database. ;-)

I think that the database is made for North American customers only. :-)

Actually I would not care about missing waypoints as using own flightplans easily solve that but I found out that when you use your own flightplans with intersections/fixes which are not in the database you will get "trouble" as soon as you have to select them for ROUTE DISCONTINUTIES or linking SID'S with the following legs. The FMC verifies if they are in the database and if not you will get an DATA NOT FOUND message. That is not so conveniant. If the database will not be completed I hope that the team will fix this problem at least.

No, unfortenately you can't. If so I would not complain and add them by myself....I think providing a ASCII-coded database like PSS and PIC did would be a good solution for future FMC equipped DF products.

Take care.

Thanks for your comprehensiv reply. I will continue to enter the missing intersections by their coordinates. I think, flying along the official high altitude airways is more realistic if you are crossing all intersections...
