View Full Version : YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS LIVERY!!! :-)

Now, before I get grief for "playing favorites", let me say that I am deeply appreciatice for all the fine liveries that many talented artists have done, every one from Bill Browning, to Greg German, and many, many more individuals; all outstanding work!
However, while authentic "real" liveries are nice, I just had a fictional livery sent to me today that blew my mind, and you do not need to be German or like Lufthansa to appreciate it. This livery is in the category of "if executives were not so full of themselves, they would put this livery one one of their planes" category- it is that incredible, right down to the faux reflections, that make the FS2002 "chrome" look as phony as it is!
The livery celebrates 50 years (not quite yet) of jet airliners, starting with the Comet, based on Lufthansa's mid 1950's livery on one side, and ends with what looks like an excellent livery for Lufthansa to use in the future on the other side!
My thanks to Matthias Goedeke for producing this incredible livery for the 737. :-)
Regards,

Dear Lou,
thanks a lot for this heart warming comment about my LH-Combi. I am overwhelmed by the echo this livery produced (with your help).
But my special thanks go to JASON DIAZ who is in charge for the reflections of the 1955-body. It was his unique B-737 "Eastern Airlines" that gave me the "lower bitmap"(Sorry, I'll send him a note right away...).
Since many of you asked me about a standalone of the 2005 - version I am going to edit my psd-files and with your permission, I will post this again as soon as I am done with it.
DreamFleet2000 - what a great program!
Thanks again.

Hi Matthias,
I would create both a stand alone 2005 and a 1955 version. Send them to me, and I'll post them along side the combi. Again, grat work! :-)
Can you guess which my favorite is?????
Although both are extremely beautiful, I like the 1955! It's a real classic, and LH should pay you and use the 2005 version on ALL their aircraft. Their current livery has had it! ;-)
Now, let's see all of you users of this fine livery posting some screens shots, here and everywhere else! :-eek

Lou, you got me!
I am a big fan of the old livery, too!!
When I was a little boy, these were the postcards I received from my dad, showing a B-707-Intercontinental with a quote:
"On bord of Lufthansa-Senator-Service" (First Class).
I will do BOTH versions as standalones - promised!

There is only on thing sad about this:
Lusthansa currently does not own a single 737-400...
300s and some 500s, but zip, zero, nil, nada 400s.
Anyway: phantastic livery!

Hi Emacs,
blame Lufthansa for not having a 737-400 !
Or Dreamfleet for not having -300s and -500s ?!
Anyway: Who cares...
Thanks,

LAST EDITED ON Jan-09-02 AT 01:46AM (EDT)[p]Hi Matthias,
of course I know ;-))
I already downloaded and installed it.
That one is really perfect. It's a shame that LH will probably never fly them.
Great job, I think we should never get tired of telling you that!
I'm also waiting to get my hands on the retro version.
What do your plans say?
