TCAS Warning Sound [Archive]

Correct me if I�m wrong, but...is there not a "Traffic, Traffic" Warner sound when Traffic becomes a threat?

not being Rude or anything! but i remember hearing it somewhere, on Discovery channel or somewhere.

In real life there is a sound, in ours, no there is not. Beta testers can attest to this. We finished and implemented the TCAS into the product 2 days prior to the release of the patch. We stated right from the start it would NOT have sounds so we would not be adding further compilcations that might cause extra bugs.

In the future, all TCAS systems will be fully implemented with sounds, etc...

For now, the 737 is a visual system only.
