Hello,
After climbing and preselected altitude is reached, the ALT HLD indicator on MCP turns off.
Is it normal??

Hi Nicola

If one were to read the manual, it is stated that you should NOT refer to the MCP, but to the FMA for knowing what state the AP is in.
As stated previously, this is correct operation, what takes place in the default autopilot is incorrect operation, but understandable as it does not have an associated FMA.
Regards,
