I recently got FS2K2 which I installed on my W98 PC (Athlon 1.2 Mhz, 256 MB, GeForce 2 DDR 64MB). It runs without any problems and I have realy put it through some long flights.
Being a realism-freak I had to buy DF737 and I really enjoy that extra level of realism that it gives me, however from time to time it freezes my PC. This freezing often happen when I change view (e.g. brings up a panel-view) or simply by clicking a switch on the panel.
I work as consultant/deveopler so I do know my way around PCs and its kept up-to-date regard drivers. Also I I begun this posting I didn't have a single kickup with FS2K2 prior to DF737 (only sees the problem when using DF737). DF737 is installed as instructed. Also I have played other CPU-thirsty games on this platform without any problems.
Any ideas what might cause this problem? and/or how to fix it?

I actually had the same problem using DF737 in FS 2000 and Win 98 SE. Sometimes the mouse freezed or there was a exception failure after having changed the view or opened different panels.
I made up my mind to reinstall FS, because I suspected one of my downloaded third party aircraft having overwritten the fssound-dll or maybe FSClouds I just installed as the initiator of those failures.
I did it yesterday, so cannot report, wether it works (In deed I did not dare to do much - very careful to avoid dissapointment.
If not - other things that could have caused the freezing - in my case: Internet Explorer 6 oder DSL-Connection to my internet provider - those are the things that could have irritaded my system in the last days.
If you have found the reason be so kind as to report.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-27-01 AT 07:48AM (EDT)[p]I also was experiencing some freezing momentarily on my P4 1.8Ghz and 64MBGeforce2 TI, Win98 Vanilla. I decided that it wasnt the fault of the DreamFleet 737 but a combination of the add-on and Fs2002. After removing DF737, then FSNav, then FS2002 I rebooted and defragged my HDD. Then I reinstalled FS2002 and rebooted, then installed DF737 rebooted, installed the DF737 update for FS2002, rebooted and reinstalled FSNav, rebooted and ran it all.
Since doing this, which took about 1.5hrs in total I guess, I havent had any weird problems with the DF737 or FS2002. touchwood.

My FS2002 Installation is VERY new, so I haven't installed much 3rd party software. However since I only use this PC for gaming (have another I use for work/development) Perhaps I should do the tireing work of a complete reinstall W95 and all - I mean how fun is it to end a great 2 hour flight with a total system freeze jsut because you ask the passengers to fasten their seatbelts <G>
I think you'll find that FS2k2 is not officially supported by MS in Win95. That may be part of the problem.

My mistake (typo) - I run it on a W98(SE).

I just took a flight from Bremen to Berlin Tegel. It worked allright. Perhaps your resolution should be 1024 x 768 x 16, and let the paxes off their seat belts and let them smoke. Or reinstall your system?!
I have P$ 1,7giga,1024 ram,and I have no trouble installing the DF737 and de fs 2002.I´m using XP home edition.Maybe the truble must be ram
