NOTE: Due to limitations within FS these key commands will work, and the above items will open / close / appear even when the aircraft is in flight. DO NOT USE THESE COMMANDS WHEN THE AIRCRAFT IS IN FLIGHT!
To open and close the cabin and baggage doors on the Cessna 310, do the following:
1. Shift - E = Open / close cabin door.
2. Shift - E + 2 = Open / close baggage door on the fuselage
Here’s how these keys work:
For the cabin doors, hold down the shift and E keys at the same time then release them. Repeat this to close the doors.
For the baggage door, hold down the shift and E keys at the same time then release them, and within one second press the “2” key. This is the 2 located above the W and Q keys on your keyboard. DO NOT USE THE 2 LOCATED ON THE NUM PAD. Repeat this to close the baggage door.
These are standard FS key commands for these actions.
To open and close the wing locker baggage doors, do the following:
Press the FS “Wing fold/unfold” key. This is the key used to fold / unfold wings on aircraft so equipped. Since the Cessna 310 does not have folding wings, we are using it for this purpose. You will need to go into the Options / controls / assignments menu in FS, and assign a key for the wing fold/unfold command, as one is not provided by default in FS.
To raise / lower the sun visor (shade) on the Cessna 310, do the following:
Press the FS tail hook key. This is the key used to raise lower the tail hook on aircraft that have them. Since the Cessna 310 does not have a tail hook, we are using it for this purpose. You will need to go into the Options / controls / assignments menu in FS, and assign a key for the tail hook, as one is not provided by default in FS.
To open / close the flight case on the right seat in the Cessna 310, do the following:
Press the FS “Water rudder up/down”. This is the key used to raise lower the water rudder on aircraft that have them. Since the Cessna 310 does not have a water rudder, we are using it for this purpose. You will need to go into the Options / controls / assignments menu in FS, and assign a key for the water rudder, as one is not provided by default in FS.
NOTE: When operating the locker baggage doors and sun visor, you will see an on-screen message concerning either the wing fold/unfold or tail hook respectively. This is normal, and the message cannot be removed or changed.
