I am new to this forum, but I have been designing scenery for quite some time. However, I have recently become interested in creating ground texture polygons from satellite images. I collected all of the images necessary to cover my home airport (1 meter res) and stiched them together. I am in the process of coloring the polygon now, but I noticed rather after the fact that the polygon has become 2048 x 2048 pixels. I tried to convert this (saved as a 256 color bitmap) into an extended bitmap as Webad's tutorial suggests, but I am now at a loss. BMP2000 can only import 512 x 512 pixel images. Is there a way that I can create a 2048 x 2048 extended bitmap without cutting mine up into 16 different textures? (It seems like it would be a pain to do correctly and get everything to line up.) Please help, thanks.

Jeff

if you have FS2002 pro...try using the Image tool in the GMax folder.
