You can put your scenery in fs2002 in two ways; the fs2002\ADDON SCENERY folder; new folders placed in the fs2002\scenedb folder. In the ADDON SCENERY folder there are two subfolders; scenery and texture. You would place your *.bgl files in the scenery folder and your texture files in the texture folder (note: if you used fs2002 default textures, you don't need to place them in this folder as they are already in the fs2002\texture folder / alternatively you can place your textures in the fs2002\texture folder vice the fs2002\ADDON SCENERY\texture folder).

The second method is a little more complicated since you need to add new folders in your fs2002\scenedb folder, for example:

fs2002\scenedb
------------MyScenery
-------------------Scenery
-------------------Texture

File placement is the same as above except use your folders. The other item is to have FS2002 recognize your scenery folders. Start FS2002, select World, select Scenery Library, select Add Area, locate and select your scenery folder, put in a title (MyScenery) for the scenery, check the box to use the scenery directly, click OK, view the main scenery listing to see if your scenery is listed, click OK. Return to fs2002. FS2002 should indicate it is updating the scenery database.

Note: If you have the FS2002 startup screen that shows Select a Flight, Create a Flight, etc., you can select the Scenery Library from the Settings selection.

You should put the *.bgl file in the fs2002/scenedb/afdfiles/scenery folder. It works for ME.

| \scenerydb & \scenery
What are the differences? Just asking.

My current KBUR is a subfolder in \scenery.
as along as there is a pointer in scenery.cfg it shouldn't really matter. Since ADD ON Scenery already has this pointer then you should be OK.

The first answer is spot on. BGL's go in the scenery folder and textures bitmaps go in the corresponding texture folder.

The question remains if you want this scenery to be uploaded to sites for distribution then you'll need to keep track of your texture files.
