What 3D design program are most airport designers using to build their airports with? I have been using Nova and getting mixed results. Square polygons made into api's import just fine into airport and are easy to place. If I build an MSO macro with something other than square parts I get a very distorted shape which is very hard to place. The following image is gate ramp designed in Nova and imported as an API in Airport for Windows.

This screen shot is what I mean.
Once I compile my design in airport it appears as designed. Is there a work around or am I doing something wrong?

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Thanks

I've used Raphael's two versions of VOD, and a trial version of NOVA 2000 when it first came out while employing the MSO method. I don't remember ever encountering what you portray here. And I'm not familiar at all with the current edition of NOVA.

The past while, I've been using EOD pretty much exclusively.

What I have run into, and it seems to be a case with whatever program you use, is Scasm not able to compile some shapes if their size is too small. My solution to this is to design the object about 4 times what I want and then reduce the scale to .25 within the compilation program (Apt 2.60).

I use FSDS and Easy object designer to make macros.
