Hey!
I´ve been designing airports for a little while now and have learned the basics in airport.
and then i learned how to use EOD and now i´m thinking about to make my own textures. so i just wondered, is there any simple rules how a textures must be to work?

thank you.

How do you build airports? With Airport Tycoon?

hi aken,
I've been using EOD for a while to make objects in FS98. I just upgraded to FS2002 last month, so I'm not completely sure how the bmp textures work yet.
But if your using FS98, they have the *.r8 files (which work in FS2000+ too, but are not as good quality as the *.bmps). What you need to do is get a texture converter program to convert *.bmp files into *.r8 format (I use convr8, but I don't know the file name).
When you have that, create a new 256x256 *.bmp file using MSpaint (or another painting program). Paint up your texture, convert it with the converter, and you have your r8 ready to be used on your building!
With FS2000+, I think that you can use the *.bmp file without converting it to r8; I havn't tried it yet :-).
I hope this helps you; Good luck!
