I have heard some folks saying that they get terrible framerates in FS2002 with scenery designed by Airport. I have seen this myself, with framerates down to 1.5 at my FCA scenery I created, and in FS2000, I got much better than that. I was wondering if there has been any research into why this is, or if there is something I can do to help the framerates out.

Hello Fred,
I don't seem to have this problem with slower frame rates in FS2002 with 2.60 scenery, I find that the frame rates are very similar on my computer with 2002 as 2000. with sliders mostly maxed out I get nearly same frame rates. A little dissappointed as I thought they would be better. However I find that the 2002 sim runs smoother with the lower frame rates than the 2000 did.
I tried your Fs2000 Beechcraft D18s in Fs2002, all works perfectly except In cockpit view I have no pan views. only dark screen, not even scenery with the pans. I don't expect 2000 aircraft to work perfectly, but wondered if there is any thing we can do to make the pans work, as everything else worked perfect, air file was fine.
Thanks,

Robert,
I haven't checked out all the stuff I have for FS2000 yet in the new sim, but I have found that you will not get a pan view in the virtual cockpit views, which is what you are doing if you are looking out the windows. This is a bit annoying, but I am sure a fix will be made. Anyway, the black screens I will check out. I am thinking that it is simply removing a reference in the panel.cfg for a view to the side....

Thanks for the post Fred,
I just found a simple solution to bring back the pan views for your D18s in Fs2002. look in the D18s panel cfg. and place an exclamation point in front of all the Fixed window lines, for example first line.
!Fixed Window 30 = forward right.
Do this for all the fixed window lines. This will bring back the pan views perfectly.
I find now that all works perfectly in Fs2002.
I got this information from a post in Don Moser's forum.
Go to Don"s website forum and locate the posts under View Problems, there Mal answered my post with more detailed instructions.
Hope this infor helps.
