Airways Canada is a new-ish VA. We've been operating for a while now without much success and I've been struggling to re-invent ourselves. Needless to say, still nobody's joined.
If anybody is interested in joining a web-design committee for Airways Canada they should contact me at ceo@airwayscanada.cjb.net, post on this forum, or send me a private message. We will work through the Information Architecture process and eventually result in a teriffic web site. I can adjust the proceedings here.
First, there are some fundamental things about Airways Canada that must be kept in mind whenever making a decision for the airline:
-AWC/3T is Canadian, and so promotes Canada and all that it represents
-AWC/3T is designed for the virtual pilot that will join the airline
-AWC/3T is designed to be efficient as possible
-AWC/3T supports open-source
-AWC/3T has official opinions
The decisions get made in that order. For example if I wanted to order A330's (we already have about 15) this is what would happen:
Can the A330 be replaced with something Canadian?
No.
Is the A330 good for pilots? Will they enjoy flying it?
Yes.
Is the A330 efficient, that particular package easy-to-manage?
Yes.
Is the A330 at least somewhat open-source?
Yes.
Does the A330 conflict with any official opinions?
No.
In using that, we would allow the A330.
Official opinions are similar to things like "The United States of America should not attack Iraq". They may change at any time. They are set by a _vote_ through all of AWC/3T's members, after an argument for AND against the idea has been presented. We may end up taking that out. :)
Anybody wishing to join for the WEB DESIGN should, again, e-mail me at ceo@airwayscanada.cjb.net, send me a private message, or post here on this forum.
Anybody wishing to join as a pilot will have to wait.
We are looking for certain executive staff. You will be strained. All positions involve work. Contact me any of the three ways above.
