Hi,

In the "Select aircraft menu" There is a lot of information.

Aircraft manufacturer
Aircraftn model
Variation (Whatever that may be?)
ATC Name
Description
Performance reference page

Can anyone tell me from which file(s) FS2002 reads this information?

Much obliged,

I think it comes from the aircraft.cfg file. Open one up in notebook and look at the first few sections. You will see something like this:

[fltsim.0]
title=Beech Baron 58
sim=SJ_Be58.02_2002
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=
kb_checklists=Beech_Baron_58_check
kb_reference=Beech_Baron_58_ref
atc_id=N700MS
ui_manufacturer=Beechcraft
ui_type=Baron 58
ui_variation=White with blue and gold
description=Beech Baron 58 Flight Model revision V2.0 by Steve Small FSD 11/2001.

Hi,

Thanks. I suppose then that this is the file that is being edited with FSEdit.exe

yes,

You can also open it just by clicking twice on it and then select: oppen with: notepad. You can make a lot of changes. Sometimes an aircraft canīt be edited with FS edit. If you open the aircraft.cfg file with notepad and change this line:

editable=0

to this:

editable=1

you can make changes.(of course, you can also just make changes with notepad:))

hope this helps,
