View Full Version : USB adaptor with CH
I have the CH products Flightsim Yoke with pedals for gameport, but I wanted to switch to USB. I got the Radioshack "USB Game Port Adapter". My PC sees that there is a device on the USB port, but the yoke doesnt work right. It only has 8 working buttons (resulting in button combination mixing), and the axis don't work properly. They appear to be very unsensitive. Has anyone had the same problem or know a way to make it work? By the way, I am using a USB hub.
Thanks,
Hans

I use a single usb converter (the radio shack one) for rudder pedals+toe brakes and just skipped the yoke. It seems to work well but understand that you only get about 32 positions. I'd recommend first checking the control panel under gameport adapters and see that it is properly calibrated. This is a chore before windows xp since you need to "push a button". Also, if you haven't done so, get FSUIPC from the library and do a secondary calibration there as well. I'm using two usb adapters on my system with good luck one for the rudder pedals+toe brakes and a second for a throttle quadrant with horz trim+throttle+mixture+prop pitch+flaps
