I had FS98, 2000 and 2002....
(Sorry for my english)
Since i got XPLANE my FS2002 box is on the shelve covered in 2cm of dust. Today i installed fs2002 again (it happens to me :)... And ones again: FS2002 IS A TOY! nothing else but a toy...
I dont want to explain why, etc... its all described here in the forum.
I know you all get upset when you see X-Plane after flying...brrrr, playing FS2002, but its all eyecandy. Be more professional simmers, get Xplane.
I just want to hear some opinion from real pilots who fly XPLANE...

Iīm a pilot and I like FS2002 and X-Plane.
X-Plane is great for IFRīs, itīs hard to land than FS2002 (too easy) and the flight dynamics is superior (not all planes).
But....Fs2002 is great for my country (Brazil), I can find a large database of radios and airports, the scenery is better and next to real thing than XP (anyway XP is getting better in scenery). I like many aircrafts in FS2002 like dreamfleet 737, PSS, Commander, etc.
I have both installed, the ATC and on-line flying in FS2002 is far better than XP, in short most flights I do in FS2002 for fun, but to test and training procedures I use XP, I love the real plane feeling and speed the XP offers.
Thatīs my opinion,
Ulisses

Updates for 6.xx will not work with 5.xx. You need 6.xx to use 6.xx updates.

Hi Rosso,
It's a good sim indeed. But I suggest you try some add-ons for MFS like DF 737, 777 Professional, and add some eye candy "topping" like German Airports. Then ask yourself again which is more "toy"!
By the way don't you get lonely and bored and those x-plane airports? And speaking of airports, I like to be able to go to almost any airport in the world. And I like to be able to start from my own town. I live in Romania... do you know how many Romanian airports are in x-plane? ZERO! How many on MFS? About 20. Yup...
And with the 500% superior flight dynamics of X-plane you won't get very close to the real feeling of flying a plane. Cos' it's, like MFS, just a computer simulator. I know that and that's why I'll go for the eye-candy one! It looks more real, maby it feels a little more real due to the force feedback feature!
Nice x-plane flights ;-)!
