How come X-Plane in all their advertising never show their wares in the braod daylight like my sig. below.
Must be really crummy graphics.

And I have FS2002 Pro .... X-Plane is far superior, who cares if you can see the 5th notch along on the aircraft... all good and all, but er.. does it fly properly?
P.S. That shot was taken on a Celeron 500MHz with 128Mb RAM and a 16Mb onboard graphics card (My secondary machine). I'd like to see FS2002 do that (P.S. it can't). I'm getting about 35fps on that screenshot too, and passing 600kts.

Us MS Flightsimmers don't have problems when it come's to multi-tasking remember you have to take the screenshot first...or maybe Im right and your stalling waiting for X-plane to patch the patch...ooops I meant prog. so the planes can fly in the daylight and not look shameful.
Well Im still waiting for a daylight SShot of your bargin basement clearence basket FlightSim.My parent use to say you get what you pay for.

Mmm no, I just had to wait til I got to work as thats where I kept my backup...
That shot is on the specification I mentioned earlier.. funny, FS2002 Pro never looked as good on the same system.
Oh, and the plane handles properly too.

Have you ever tried X-plane?? What is it that makes MSFS so much better than X-plane?? What is it that makes MSFS users so much smarter than X-plane users?? I have used X-plane for some time and I do own MSFS2k2 and totally replaced it with X-plane to the point of removing MSFS from my computer. X-plane works great in the daytime as well as at night!! It may not have the cutting edge scenery where you can see all the cars in the parking lot, but it runs fine on old machines and is super smooth with real weather enabled and doesn't require a bunch of addons to make it that way. The user is able to edit the scenery as well as the aircraft easily without any additional programs required. The bottom line is, If you don't like it don't use it!! If you choose not to use it, keep you mouth shut and let others enjoy it!!:-mad:-mad:-mad

Why would most people want a flight to mars taking up HD space can you go to Mars in XPlane in real time...I sure hope not that would certianly be a new low in regaurds to wasting time.
I have tried Xplane before and no matter what time of the day I chose to fly in it was always dark. Ya the frame rates are better but who can really tell the difference between 30 or 35 fps...once you get above thirty FPS it doesnt matter much.
Still its been two days since my original post and you havent come up with a spot plane SShot of XPlane in the broad daylight and neither has anyone else who reads these post and uses XPlane.
Why do we never see XPlane SShots in the SShot Forum here on flightsimnetwork.com?????

Um.. I HAVE posted a shot, try refreshing your browser the file was restored from backup and uploaded again to my FTP as I promised it would be (not that you'd care)...
Have you ever considered the issue of DRIVER problems being the reason why everything was black? Hmm, perhaps not... your head seems wedged somewhere particularly unpleasant.
Regardless of whether you want to fly to Mars or not.. you can; X-Plane is based on what is called Blade Element Theory (probably forgotten the exact name), whereby everything about the way the aircraft flies is based on the dimensions of the aircraft itself... not a nasty configuration file like FS.
That is how A) You can have nifty weather features like turbulence, wind shear, wet-runway-braking-effects B) The aircraft actually feels as if it is flying through the air rather than the ground passing under the aircraft (FS) and C) You can fly on MARS because the environmental parametsr are changed, but the equatinos which work out the dynamics ofthe aircraft are unchanged, and so the whole handling of the aircraft handles exactly (or very very very near) to what it would do in real life..
Open your eyes, there's a whole new world than Microsoft Flight (read: ground moves, airraft stays still) Simulator.
Oh and FYI, I have FS98, FS2000 Pro, FS2002 Pro, CFS 1, and Flight Unlimited 2 as well as other combat sims like EAW and Janes.
X-Plane kicks the rest out of the way in terms of flight modelling.
But then, you're a "ooh my knickers are flapping on the clothes line outside my house" flight sim kinda guy aren't you.

To bad you are missing the accurate performance on your FS 737;-) This plane will
be released any day together with the -800

The Eskimo on the tail sits to low, the airplane overall looks like somthing out of a kindergarten class art projects.
So far the only thin Im 1/2 way impressed with is is the ground textures from 10000ft....ha!.
Before you sale me that X-plane is better you'll have to show me sshots of KSEA KSFO KSAN and some SShots of thoses citys scapes.
Your turn.

I can now see, after following this thread from the beginning, that you are only here to nitpick and ridicule. Wooday showed you an excellent example of a daylight screenshot and Morten showed you another. Morten explained, in the thread he refered you to, that it was take with an 8meg video card and was therefore a poor quality photo. I assure you that, on my machine, X-plane excels over MSFS2k2 in both flight modeling and smoothness. Why don't you go back to the MSFS forum since there is no way you are going to be convinced that there is any other flight sim besides MSFS. We, X-plane users, know the real truth and will continue to enjoy this great simulator without you.

In fact, here is a screenshot to send you back to your MSFS world!! This is a Western Airlines DC-4 inbound to KATL. Notice that this is in broad daylight with high Cirrus clouds.

What!! Does no one live around KATL...they do in MSFS2K2 or does XPlane have a time travel feature which you can go backwards in time depending on what type of aircraft you are flying.
I downloaded the Demo a couple of nights ago and it messed with my FS2k2 prog. and to my system display settings..So......it is off my HD and it took 1 hour to reload Vid drvrs and reset settings.
Nice shot I remember when Western Airlines flew that type Western is now Delta.

AHAHAHHAHA
Well mr I-think-FS2k2-is-better, quite frankly why dont you bugga off and play your great FS? I play Fs2k2, and I like it but I like realistic flights. I like to have my plane fly the way it really does. I like to have working weather radar. I like to have windshear. I like to have real proper weather that isnt rain here rain there. Id ALSO like to buy X-PLane one of these days :)

Hey !! What is all this whining?.....childrens playground...daycare, or what !! Ur acting like babies, yelling to each other like one stole the others lollipop.
I run both sims on my puter, and I like`m both pretty much the same. There`s no possibility X-plane could mess up drivers or files to FS 2k2 or the opposit way. They work exellent on the same computer.....maybe not at the same time though. They`r 2 of the very best flightsims released lately, and both developers should award a goldstar or 2. And U know that.......right.
So stop messing up the forum with this crap.
Regards....Helix !!
Take care out there, wherever u are !!

Geeeeez Randy....little disrespectful busting in the X-Plane forum & thrashing on their product like this don't ya think ? What's your beef anyway ? Some choose MSFS & Some choose X-Plane....none of anyone's business why they choose a certain prduct over another....as long as they are happy that's all that really matters. What's it to you ( or me, or anyone ) what people choose to do for enjoyment ?
Regards,
Bob

What the hell is your problem Randy! Who do you think you are to bust in on a group of people who enjoy there sim and for no reason giving them a hard time.
Do you go to anger contol classes, if not then please take my advice and do. One thing you may learn is not to take you anger out on random strangers but yet face your problems in the real world.
More directly related to this topic you asked for a daylight picture and you got one, but your b**** a** continued to find something else you didn't like. Don't like what you see then leave, you've already tainted these forums with your two sided antics.
On a side note I am a avid fs2002 user, I have more respect for Laminar Research than I will ever have for Microsoft, but Microsoft was the road I took about 8 years ago. I think X-plane has many stong points though, and Randy you have no call to pick and choose through them.
Get a life Randy, you make it very clear you don't have one. You strive for attention on the internet of all places. I'm going to challenge you to take this post to the fs2002 forum, where it will get max attention. Do you dare threaten what little respect you have by doing that.
