Im new to X-plane..I have Ver. 5.54. The problem I have is with scenery that is outside of the USA and Europe. I flew a flight from LAX to LaPaz Bolivia and even though my worldmap was showing that I was over Land, when i looked out the window all i saw was ocean. When I attempted to place my aircraft in Nepal... all i saw was an airport that appeared to be floating over an ocean even though i was supposedly over land. What is the problem?? If anyone can help it will be much appreciated.
Thx

Hi, unfortunately most of the land textures in X-plane have to be either downloaded from members who have produced these areas themselves using the Nav Dat files and Worldmaker, or you have to attempt the labourious task on your own. The nav dat files are available through the X-plane site. It's quite a job. I did the Caribbean and the North coast of South America before going over to Version 6. Every polygon on the entire degree square must be hand placed, and this does not include the building of the elevations. A big job in itself. The new version 6 is going to have the entire world done with satallite photography on DVD.
The Scenery DVD will be coming out soon. Good luck!
