multiplayer

Now I know on the box of X-Plane when I bought it, it said that multiplayer was available as a free upgrade. I have FS98 and I use the multiplayer feature on that often, but i would like to know how to play X-Plane on multiplayer. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.
