Hi again Andy
Always seem to be reading and then replying to your posts:
I have seen the screen shots as a pre-release set and they certainly DO NOT match the written/spoken claims from MS.
I did not see one new aircraft, the terrain looks a lot better but looking at some of it it still lacks some touches like roads etc.
The sky textures look a tad better but would have been difficult for MS to have ignored that particular problem which might not go down to well with Active Sky etc.
I just hope that FS X is going to NOT be the dissapointment it is appearing to be from the meagre press releases so far released.
Sorry to be a "party pooper" but it really would be nice to see some actual progress because what was being said did not match the words particularly in the "new" aircraft department which still showed the same old set and liveries, you would think that he could have got permission to use some real world liveries and data by now especially when you see the current level of payware and even freeware available.
Might be because of the distance involved between the USA/North American continent and us lesser mortals in the UK and Europe who pay the price but don't get the goods. FS2004 showed many discrepancies between the US release and the European release and that really needs to be looked into and perhaps convincing captain gates to sell a pan-world version with everyone getting the same version and inclusions otherwise I shall remain with FS9.
