Sorry for the intrusion, our forum went down.

Kevinb landed at WIPR approx 5:43 local time.

I took off after Kevnin landed and am using Duenna to validate my time. Am hoping our forum is back soon.

Will be in contact with judges to check validity of this method. It sounded acceptable to my judgement at the time...

Thank you!

Hi Mike

There is a NOTAM in force at http://mw0.ath.cx/%7Ematt/RTW/notams.htm for forum contingencies:

Emergency Contingency Preparation

Last Updated: February 20, 2005

As a friendly warning and suggestion, we'd like to advise that teams come up with a contingency plan should their racing forum go down. From a race-certification standpoint, this plan must be another public forum on the internet, where the race would go on as before with authentications, etc. If you are unable to upload screenshots to the race forum, it is acceptable to e-mail them to race administrators. This is meant, however, to be an absolute last-ditch measure. Returning to the subject of contingency plans, we hope and expect that the race websites would help each other out should any one of the race forums go down. It should be noted that all time restrictions still apply if a forum goes down. That is, the baton must be declared free at the new forum within two hours of its being claimed before - appropriate clock corrections being made.

Hope this clarifies ;-)

TW, thanks for the reply. Yes we're aware of the contingency rules. Happened to coincide with a storm of port flooding as well.

For any SOH members...My flight is cancelled, baton back at WIPR.
